Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, TaKesha Jones James moved to South Carolina in 2003 with her family from Indiana to continue her work with enhancing the lives of the people she serves.  TaKesha has a both a Bachelor of Arts in Child & Family Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from Berea College as well as a Master’s of Science  in Studies in Human Behavior from Capella University.  TaKesha has previously served as Executive Director of a local non-profit to enhance the lives of children of prisoners, as well as various roles in Home Health and Rehabilitative Care.  TaKesha has served in the field of disabilities and special needs for ten years in the capacity of Services Coordinator, Community Training Home Coordinator and in the current role as Director of Day Services with Anderson County DSNB which has been the most rewarding.
